The self-serve builder

Do it yourself, or hand it to a family that does it all day.

A self-serve builder is the cheapest way to get something online, and the newest ones genuinely are fast: answer a few questions and a site appears. What nobody sells you is the judgment — what to say, which photo to lead with, and how to be found by Google and by the AI assistants your customers now ask. That part is the whole job here.

The self-serve builder · Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Durable and Zarla all sell this route.

Pick that route if

When that route is the better answer.

  • You want to spend a couple of hours rather than a couple of hundred dollars.
  • You enjoy tinkering with your own site and want to change it whenever you like.
  • You're testing an idea and don't want to pay a studio yet — a free or cheap site is the right first move.

Pick us if

When we are.

  • You'd rather run the business than build the website.
  • You want the words written for you. Most owners don't want to write their own site, and it shows when they do.
  • You want to be findable on Google and readable to the AI assistants people now ask.

Either way

Look at what we actually shipped.

Three of the sites we built, each one openable live. If they're not what you'd want for your business, that's useful to know now rather than after a call.

The questions

Answered straight.

Isn't a builder cheaper?

On day one, yes. It's a monthly plan for as long as the site is live, and it's your evenings doing the work. Ours is paid once, and someone else does the writing, the design and the search setup.

Can I move my site from a builder to you?

Usually, yes — your domain comes with you and we rebuild the site properly. If the old site has pages worth keeping, we'll carry the words across.

Will an AI builder's site get found?

It can. What it won't do is tell you what to say, which is most of what gets a small business found. Page titles, descriptions and structured data have to be written by someone who understands the trade and the town.

What does an OwCo site cost?

Launch Site is $600, or $120 to start, first build in 5 days. Every package includes the design and build, connecting the tools you already run, search setup and going live — and any money paid is refundable in full until launch.

Still deciding? Type what your business does.

One line is enough and it costs nothing: you get the build we'd recommend, what it costs and how fast it can be live — before any money moves.
