Three kinds of outfit to choose between.
However you buy a website, it comes down to one of three: a studio near you, an agency selling growth by the month, or doing it yourself. Each page says what that route is good at, what it asks of you, and when we'd tell you to pick it over us.
The local family studio
A local web shop
Somebody nearby, often family-run, who quotes after a call and looks after the site for years. Robintek, ForeFront Web and The Media Captain are the kind of studio this means.
The home-services agency
A national trade agency
Agencies built for the trades that sell a monthly program rather than a website: site, campaigns and support on one bill. Scorpion, Blue Corona and Hook Agency are the kind of agency this means.
The self-serve builder
Doing it yourself
Cheapest way online: answer a few questions, a template appears, and you write the words and edit it forever. Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Durable and Zarla all sell this route.
